We will begin accepting names from all other Locals (Travelers) on Thursday, September 26th at 5:00 AM. Messages left prior to 5:00 AM on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, from all other locals will not be accepted.
Please call Local 174 at (815) 725-9473 and use Option #3 to be placed on the Dresden list.
You must leave your name, phone number and local # (i.e. 174, 792, etc.) to be placed on the Dresden list.

OSHA 30-HOUR CERTIFICATION REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The Mid-America Carpenters Apprentice & Training Program offers the OSHA 30- Hour online training course in both English and Spanish.
You have 180 days to complete each portion with a minimum score of 70%. Failure to pass within 180 days incurs a $125 fee. If the member successfully completes each portion of the training within 180 days, there will be no charge.
Online Training Procedure:
- Members must be in good standing with their Local Union prior to registering.
- Members must provide their UBC identification number (e.g., U-XXXX-XXXX) when registering.
- The course registration link will be sent to you via email. Please verify that your email address is correct.
- This online course is only compatible with computers (laptop or desktop) or iPads. It will not work on a cell phone.
- OSHA mandates that online training is limited to 7.5 hours a day.
- Upon successful completion, you will receive the OSHA 30-Hour Training Card by mail. Please verify that your home address is correct.
- Provide a copy of your OSHA 30-Hour Training Card to your home Local Union.
- Your Local Union will forward the information to the correct JATC Program on your behalf.

Please see the below response from Michael Less, Mid-West Regional Director, Allied Power, LLC regarding Real IDs at Exelon Facilities:
“We vetted the question with Exelon Security that had come up during the Braidwood pre-job regarding the pending possibility that ‘REAL IDs’ would be required in the future to gain access to an Exelon facility.
The response was that there is no pending requirements for Real IDs and there are no future plans to require REAL IDs.”
